The Technical Service Department is responsible for the integration, organization, engineering, logistics, details and shop drawing required for the manufacturing of your projects.

Aciers JP Inc has been established since 1991 in La Reine, in the province of Quebec, Canada. We specialize in the design and manufacturing of custom solutions for wood processing plants, OSB mills, the pulp and paper industry and the mining industry. We manufacture bulk materials, structural steels and various custom products.
In 1996, a first 8,000 square foot building was constructed to house a manufacturing plant and administrative offices.
Over the years, the needs continued to increase and it was in 2000 that another 13,200 square foot building became necessary to house a garage and a warehouse. Growing constantly, it was in 2006-2007 that a second expansion was necessary. It was then that the welding workshop was expanded and a new plasma cutting table was added to our equipment.
In 2005, Aciers JP inc. has differentiated itself from the competition by marketing two new exclusive products, namely the self-cleaning rotary debarker and the mobile rotary debarker.
It was in 2016, in order to be more competitive, that the workshop reached an area of 32,000 square feet. New offices for the engineering and design department have also been added. Always at the cutting edge, 3 automated cutting, drilling and detailing equipment were added to our cutting department.
In 2021, new ownership ushered in a fresh era for the company, bringing along a new vision and direction that redefines our path forward.

In order to meet the growing needs in the field of biomass, Aciers J.P has designed a rotary debarker. This portable system is installed on a sturdy trailer, making it easy to move. The debarker is made up of three rotors ensuring contact between the debarker plates and the surface of the logs over various lengths. The system is designed to peel different species and diameters of wood, all year round. Aciers J.P. Inc., innovative and tailor-made solutions, meeting the needs of the industry!
With the purchase of a new cutting line and a 6,000 ft expansion, Aciers JP invested no less than $1,145,000 in 2017. These investments will, among other things, allow the creation of 11 jobs to expand this beautiful dynamic and energetic team. The company is also very proud to contribute to the economic development of Abitibi-Ouest. Les Aciers JP, the audacity to develop in a small community at the end of the world, which sells throughout the world!
For more than 25 years, Aciers JP has acquired solid experience in the design, sale and installation of various equipment in the mining, industrial and forestry sectors. The company, with 53 employees of various nationalities, is recognized regionally, provincially and internationally. In the last 2 years, sales outside Quebec represent 62% of its turnover, of which 4% comes from the European market. The success of Aciers JP is based on collaboration, trust and respect, values which are at the heart of the company.
In order to retain their employees and overcome the current labor shortage, the management of Aciers JP has worked hard for two years to develop a pleasant living environment as well as a dynamic community. To do this, managers as well as employees from all departments were invited to express themselves about their perceptions of corporate life and their related needs.
